Barbara Ann McCarthy Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Ann McCarthy in Halifax, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 13, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Martin and Kenneth Martin; her husband Clayton McCarthy; and her brothers, George (Shirley) and Donald (Donna).

She is survived by: her children, Michael (Arlene) and Beverly MacDiarmid; her sister Joanne McCrea (Ben); her grandchildren, Courtney Pyne (Michael), Brittney McCarthy, Dayton, Shayna, Garret, Connor (Hannah) and Carrigan MacDiarmid; her great grandchildren, Liam, Skylar Pyne and Charlotte MacDiarmid; and her caregivers, Alexa, Taylor and Halifax Infirmary. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, their children, and many dear friends.
