SMARDON, ARTHURINA (WEE WEE), 64 of Halifax It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Arthurine Frances Smardon also known as 'Wee Wee" on September 6, 2018. We take comfort in knowing she passed on peacefully in her sleep. She was predeceased by mother; Mary Smardon; sister Theresa, and beloved grandson Kingston. She is survived by her children, the loves of her life ~ sons, Leland and Dion; daughter, Chantal Mary (Colin); Aunt Jeanie; sisters Jessie, Linda (David) and Cherlanne; brother Teddy; brother-in-law Ed; nieces Natasha (Jason), Jillisa, Shyrissa Dawn, Sherry-Anne, Nicole (Biffy), Tracy, Samantha; nephews Chubby, Scott (Florence) Shyronn and Sunny; great nephews Demico, DeShawne and Quinn; great nieces Demarica, Dominique, ShonDreya; godchildren Lindell Wigginton and Teanna Thompson. Arthurina retired from Public Works & Government Services where she was employed since she was 18 years old. Her kindness and generosity were unmatched as she was an active volunteer in the community helping children, seniors and the less fortunate. In her spare time Arthurine loved to get together with her girlfriends, hit up the Sunday flea markets, and trying her luck at the local bingo. She had a passion for baking and sharing her baked goods with her friends, family and community. Every year she looked forward to baking for the Digby Harvest Dinner which helped raise money for local charities. Aunt Wee, as most knew her, will always be remembered as the 'community auntie' who simply loved to love. She will be missed tremendously but will remain in our hearts forever through the way she whole heartedly and unconditionally loved every person she crossed paths with, her kind hearted and loving soul will be her legacy. In lieu of donations, a simple act of kindness would be honourable to Arthurina's memory.
