It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alan Swan (Halifax, Nova Scotia), born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Swan and Verona Muir; and his stepfather Ross Muir. He is survived by: his common-law partner Steve Chan; his daughters, Heather MacLean and Jennifer Lowther; his grandchildren, Grayson MacLean and Skyla Lowther; and his siblings, Lynne Trerice and William "Bill" Swan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
