He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Duncan and Gertrude Mae Chandler (Brewer); his wife Betty Roberta Mae (Sangster); his sister Hilda Colby; and his brother-in-law Hughie Gammon.

He is survived by: his children, Daniel (April), Fred (May), New Harbour, Scott (Stephanie), Maxine Ehler (David) of Larry's River and Janet Chandler; his grandchildren, Virginia Pettipas (Josh), Kevin (Kalene), Steven (Jessica), Kati Ehler, Pamela Kiley (Ryan), Amy (Greg Gillis), Kimberly Chandler-Scott and Jack Chandler-Scott; his siblings, Evelyn Prendergast, Rae Pearl (Raymond) and Linda Purnell; and his sisters-in-law, Margie Gammon, Dama Ehler (Albert) and New Harbour. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews.
