He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Haywood (Carr) and Hilton Haywood of Guysborough; his wife Bernice Haywood (Ehler); his siblings, Patricia Canty (Bill), Mel Haywood, Howard Haywood (Josephine), Ernest Haywood (Bonnie), Carl Haywood (Susan), Cyril Haywood (Barb) and Samuel Haywood; his nieces and nephews, Paula Chisholm, Wendy Chisholm, Chad Haywood (Tonya), Nathaniel Haywood and Joseph Eggstaff; and his sister-in-law Norah Haywood (Ross).
He is survived by: his sons, Richard and Gregory Haywood (Alice); his grandsons, Wyatt and Hilton; and his siblings, Ross, Thomas (Darlene), Mary Chisholm (Harold), Lorraine Sanford (Bryce) and Diane Decoste (Wayne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
