He is survived by: his parent Sarah Byard (Tynes); his children, Gail of Guysborough, Janice (Norman), Raymond (Brenda), Douglas (Linda), Allan (Lisa), Port Hawkesbury, Owen (Alberta), Halifax and Clair (Valerie); and his brother Howard Byard of Sunnyville.
