With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Leona Catherine Cameron of Guysborough, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 16, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Dort and Mary Dort (Cunningham); her husband Alexander; her sons, Anthony and Howard Cameron; her grandson Phillip Dort; her children-in-law, Russell Murphy, Leo Pettipas, Angela Cameron and Jacqueline Dort; and her siblings, George Dort, Albert Dort, Robert Dort, Earl, Douglas Dort, Dorothy Humm and Isabel Rose.
She is survived by: her children, Marina Smith (Donald), Dougie Dort (Rosa), Diane Pettipas, Maxine Mills (Dave), Everett Dort (Janie), Clarence Dort, Sandra Murphy, Jill Cameron (Basil), Jack Cameron, Gwen Muise (Joe), Kelly Pilon (Doug), Wendy Pettipas (John), Chris Cameron (Heather) and Tammie Dillabough (Bob); and her daughter-in-law Glenda Cameron. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews.
