She was predeceased by: her parents, Minnie Chisholm (Smith) and James Chisholm; her daughter Phyllis; her brother Freddie; and her nephews, Ronnie and Larry Worth.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Taylor (Paul), Beverly Simpson (Gary), Bonnie Grant (Darrell), Dawn Grant (Donald), Shirley Worth, Sandy (Cathy), Doug Worth (Donna), Bobby (Vicky) and Trevor Torrey; her brother Thomas Chisholm (Joan); her sister-in-law Bertha Chisholm; her nephew James Worth; her granddaughter Adrienne Grant; and her pet Boots. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Homes (54 Queen St, Guysborough, NS B0H1N0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Boylston United Church (1005 E Side Harbour Rd, Guysborough, NS B0H1N0). A prayer was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 2:50 PM to 2:55 PM at the Boylston United Church Cemetery East Side (1005 E Side Harbour Rd, Guysborough, NS B0H1N0).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Guysborough Memorial Hospital Foundation, Boylston Community Centre or to L'Arche Cape Breton.
