She was predeceased by: her parents, John Laing and Edith Laing (Cook); her husband William "Billie"; her daughter Jacqueline "Jackie" Dort; and her siblings, Lloyd Laing (Theresa), Jack Laing and Lillian Carroll.
She is survived by: her daughter Ellen Harpell (James); her son-in-law Clarence Dort; her grandchildren, James Harpell (Justine), Robert Dort, Melissa Dort (Robert White) and Luke Harpell (Iyah); her great grandchildren, William, James, Spencer Harpell and Kory Boyle; her sister Lorraine Pottie; and her sister-in-law Ola Sutherland (Alex). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
