She was predeceased by: her father Charles Edward (Eddie); her husband Benjamin; her son Keith; her foster parents, Charlie Ashe and Hattie Ashe; her siblings, Norma, Bessie, Annabelle, Maude, Merle, Arthur, Cecil, Walton, Aubrey, Wilfred and Brian; her granddaughter Carlita; and her great grandchild Kaiden.
She is survived by: her mother Ida Clyke (Day); her children, Lloyd (Edna), Shirley, Deloris, Mack, Connie, Gary, Delma (Leroy), Earl (Donna), Gail (Mischon), Tony (Marilyn), Terry, Shauna, Colleen (Paul), Berk (Sabrina), Wayne (Joy) and Carlisa (Nyjah); her siblings, Earl (Quenta), Fraser, Dianne (Leo), Linda, Joseph and Mary; her stepdaughter Gloria; and her friends, Brenda Johnson and John Paris. She is also survived by 41 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Tracadie United Baptist Church (274 NS-16, Monastery, NS B0H1W0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 3:15 PM to 3:25 PM at the Sunnyview Cemetery (274 NS-16, Monastery, NS B0H1W0).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Upper Big Tracadie United Baptist Church.
