He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sangster and Rose Sangster (Sangster); his siblings, Barry Sangster, Eileen Pellerin and Sharon Sangster-Hallam; his brother-in-law Chester Myers; and his parents-in-law, Harold and Myrtle Myers.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley (Myers); his brother Kevin (Joan); his siblings-in-law, Charles Pellerin and Vida Sangster; and his nieces and nephews, Ashley Sangster (Linda), Trevor Sangster (Emily), Kyle Sangster (Robin), Graham Pellerin (Michelle), Lauren Sangster and Charlene MacMillan (Kenneth).
