He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine; his parents, Abner MacMaster and Florence MacMaster (Hayden); his in-laws, Douglas and Loyola Halfpenny (Sturgeon); his sisters-in-law, Carol White (Halfpenny) and Doreen MacMaster; and his nieces, Katrina and Jewel Halfpenny.

He is survived by: his children, Andrew (Mandi) of Duffield, AB, Steven (Marigold) of Brook Village, NS, Nicole (Michael) of Fort McMurray, AB, Meghan (Alexander) of Fort McMurray, AB and Kathryn Manthorne; his grandchildren, Bryden, Rylan, Jackson, Cole, Hailey, Noah, Hannah, Violet, Blake and Bentley; his siblings, Joan Chisholm (Thomas) and Neil MacMaster; and his sister-in-law Marilyn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and dear friends.
