It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Backman of Greenfield, Nova Scotia, born in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 22, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his children, Allan and Alana. He is survived by: his children, Aubrey and Mary Backman; his wife Marion; his sisters, Annie Mae Waterbury and Maryanne Gale; his daughters, Elana Wentzell (Ian) and Elizabeth Backman; his granddaughters, Allison Duggan (Jonathan), Pine Grove, Emily Backman (Nathan Rhodenizer) and Cara Wentzell; and his great grandchildren, Adrian and Talia.
