He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Fleming (Ike) and Katherine Gertrude Fleming MacNeil (Ennis); his former wife Pearl; his siblings, Helen, Gene and Alan MacNeil; and his stepfather Frank B. Mac Neil.

He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, John (Yolanda) of Kelowna, B. C, Jane (Bernie), Paul (Laura Mae), Carl (Valerie), Albert Bridge, Cape Breton, Carolyn (Steven) and Mark; and his stepsons, Trent (Gina) and Todd (Michelle). He is also survived by 19 grand children and several great-grand children.
