It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Chernin (Glace Bay, Nova Scotia), who passed away on September 10, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham and Bessie; her husband Joseph; and her daughter Marta. She is survived by: her son Mark (Karen Graham).

She donated her own photographs and papers to the Beaton Institute of Cape Breton University where they are now archived digitally for all to access.
