He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel May and Annie May (Delaney); and his siblings, John (Florence), Jeanette (Jim), Evelyn (George) and Margie (Frank).
He is survived by: his stepmother Rowena (Roberts); his wife Olive (Caines); his daughters, Diane Briggs (Sheldon), Debbie Scott (Gary), Paula McKinnon (Blaine), Sandra Devison (Jimmy) and Pamela Gouthro (Darrell) of Glace Bay; his grandchildren, Troy, Craig, Darryl, Kenny, Nicole, Scott, Dale, Linsey and Steven; his siblings, David MacNaughton (Nancy), Truro, Dave (Johanne), Tom and Eleanor; and his son Jason. He is also survived by 12 Great Grandchildren.
