Ruth Reid Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Reid (Glace Bay, Nova Scotia), who passed away on July 19, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. MacLeod and Jean MacLeod (Robertson); her husband Hugh Reid; and her siblings, Dave, Robert, John, Neil, Alex, Donald, Annie, Elizabeth (Wibby), Isabel, Jean and Helen.

She is survived by: her children, Kenny (Charlene) and Helen Murphy (Lonnie); her grandchildren, Colin (Kerri), Jennifer (Allan), Terry (Raven) and John Robert (Tara); her great grandchildren, Jayln, Callie, Evie, Jordyn, Mason and Jaxon; and her siblings-in-law, Lois MacLeod and Campbell Reid (Hazel). She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their children.

Donations in Ruth's memory may be made to St. Luke's United Church General Fund or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
