With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Margaret Sadie MacKenzie (Glace Bay, Nova Scotia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Margaret Sadie left this world on February 22, 2025 at the age of 99, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Dan R. MacDonald; her husband Wilburn; her grandson Brandon; her son-in-law Angus; and her siblings, Christine Snow, Anna MacPherson, Florence Green, William, George and Ronald MacDonald.
She is survived by: her mother Cassie MacDonald (Holmes); her children, Wayne (Loretta), Debbie and Heather (Paul); her siblings-in-law, Ellen Mackenzie and Ed McLeod; her grandchildren, Amanda (Scott), Troy (Amy), Jennifer (Evan), Sarah, Cassie (Liam), John Angus, Melissa (Jacob) and Emily (Andy); her great grandchildren, Chase, Brayden, Nevaeh, Ethan, Bryce, Blake, Logan and Lydia; and also Bernice McCormick. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Patten Funeral Home (71 Union St, Glace Bay, NS B1A2P6). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Patten Funeral Home Chapel (71 Union St, Glace Bay, NS B1A2P6).
Memorial donations may be made to Glace Bay United Church (formerly known as Warden United) or a charity of one's choice.
