It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madeline Grace Munroe of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, born in Twillingate, Newfoundland, who passed away on February 17, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Watkins and Hettie Watkins (Guy); her husband James; her sister Joyce Batschkun; her siblings-in-law, Sandy Brewster, Leroy MacRury, Art Batschkun, Gerald Granville and Ella Watkins; and her friend Edie MacDonald.

She is survived by: her children, Richard, Mark (Cindy) and Heather Hartlen (William); her grandchildren, Michael, Nichole, Robert, Matthew, Shannon, Callum and Sarah; her great grandchildren, Rylan, Lucas and Robert; her siblings, Howard (Brenda), Ken (Lorraine), Ben (Diane), Hardy (Alisa), Doreen, Donna (Pat), Karen (Gerald) and Sherry; and her sister-in-law Dolena Brewster. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Madeline's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Red Cross.
