She was predeceased by: her parents, John Weatherby and Katherine Weatherby (Buchanan); her husband Omar; and her siblings, D. J. Weatherby, Ruth MacIntyre, Anne MacVicar (James), Mildred McNeil (Alphonse), Mary Lou Munroe (Gerry) and Shirley MacKenzie (Aubrey).
She is survived by: her daughters, Arlene Kyle (Barry) of Bathurst, N. B. and Dr. Karen MacDonald (Blair) of Bedford, N. S.; her grandchildren, Colin (Olivia), Blaine Kyle (Cassie), Katherine, Amy and Jocelyn MacDonald; her great grandchildren, Georgia and Bree Kyle; and her sister-in-law Audy Weatherby. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Cape Breton, the VON or a charity of choice.
