He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine and Morrison; and his brother Sammy. He is survived by: his uncle Jay; his niece Paula; his nephew Jamie Airdrie (Shelley) of Alberta; and his grandchildren, Bryson, Samuel and Kaylia.
