He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hugh MacKinnon and Bertha MacKinnon (Gillingham); and his siblings, Christine MacLellan, Flora Cann, Johneva Shea, John, Clarence and Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth (MacVicar); his sons, Howard (Jane Anne) and Eric (Pauline); his sister May MacDonald; his sister-in-law Audrey Butler (Michael); and his grandchildren, Amy Day (Steve), Ashley Quist (Chad), Alec MacKinnon (Tyria), Laura MacKinnon, Lianne Settle (Caleb), Angela Pattison (Alex) and Heather MacKinnon. He is also survived by his sons, followed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
