He was predeceased by: his parent Henry Seward; his wife Alice; his significant other Cecilia; his children, Alice and Bernie; and his siblings, Clarence, Henry, Raymond and Rose Winters.

He is survived by: his parent Rose Seward; his sons, Joseph, Raymond and Gary (Darlene); his grandchildren, Olivia, Adam, Susan, Amy, Jeffrey, Patty and Stephen; and his siblings, Doreen Parsons, Ethel Stashuk and Bobby Seward.
