He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine (Crowdis); his daughters, Karen-Ann and Concillio-Marie; and his siblings, Frank and Ronita (Burrows).
He is survived by: his children, Ann-Marie Dewell, Halifax, Hector (Darlene), Donnie (Joni), Henry of Glace Bay, Cathy MacMullin and Danette (Maurice Larabie); and his sister Andrea Bettens of Glace Bay. He is also survived by grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
