He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Gerrit Schuurkamp; and his siblings-in-law, Gerrit Schuurkamp Jr., Bill Taylor and Jeannine MacLellan. He is survived by: his uncle Brian MacLellan; his parents, Roy MacLellan and Donna MacLellan (Doyle) of Glace Bay; his wife Thea (Schuurkamp); his daughters, Lorel and Ella; his brothers, Earl MacLellan, Sydney and Leon MacLellan (Kendra); his mother-in-law Geertruida Schuurkamp; his siblings-in-law, Brenda MacLeod (Duncan), Trish Taylor and John Schuurkamp (Rodina); his brothers, The MacLellan and Band; and his pet Jekyll (Kitty). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Knox Presbyterian Church, Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Cancer Care Fund at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
