She was predeceased by: her parent Fred Lynk; her husband Richard McCarthy; her daughter Mary "Di" McNeil (McCarthy); her granddaughter Vickey Smith; and her siblings, Everett, Sam, Bernie, Norman "Chuck", Helen, Shirley "Gertie" and Lilie.

She is survived by: her parent Alma Lynk (Clarke); her friends, Legion and Dominion Sandbar; her granddaughter Karen; her children, Betty Ann Lynk (Tom), Brenda Smith (Gerald), Freida Rea (late Earl), Martha O'Brien (Wayne), Greg McCarthy (Doris Lynn), Linda McInnis (David), Joe McCarthy (Yvonne), Darren McCarthy (Wendy) and Dennis McCarthy (Tammy); her granddaughter Kim Steffler (Mark); and her siblings, Trumie, Jerry, Aggie, Tootsie and Mary. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
