He was predeceased by: his spouse Leona Smith; his child Paul Smith; and his parent Neil Smith of Glace Bay. He is survived by: his children, Joan Levesque (Clarence) of Ottawa, Roberta Fisher (Stephen) of New Brunswick, Doug Smith (Edna) of New Brunswick, Colleen Quarrie (Jeff) of Elora and Anita Molto (Paul) of Kitchener; his siblings, Joyce Ferneyhough of Maryhill, ON and Fraser (Gayle) of Calgary; and his parent Katie Smith of Glace Bay. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
