It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley (Penny) Leblanc (Florence, Nova Scotia), who passed away on August 13, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Bernard 'Bud' and Gladys Penny (MacIntyre); her husband Ben; her grandson Roddie; and her sisters, Pearl and Gladys.

She is survived by : her children, Rene (Marilyn), Shaunna, Brett, Florence, Michele, Groves Point, Penni (Paul) and Corey; her grandchildren, Lindsay (Ryan), Lee Ann, Molly (Jason), Sam, Toni Jean and Sara; and her great grandchild Jax.

Memorial donations in Shirley's memory may be made to the Roddie Gillis Memorial Scholarship Fund at Memorial High School, Sydney Mines.
