He was predeceased by : his parents, John Sparkes and Violet Sparkes (Young); his wife Mary (Steffens); his son Mel Sparkes; his grandson Nick; and his siblings, Evelyn Sparkes, Audrey Harris, Shirley Crane, Donald, Garfield, Roy, Winston, Carmen and Gordon.
He is survived by : his daughters, Dianne, Debbie (Bob) and Denise; his daughter-in-law Wendy; his brothers, Ernie (Georgette), Gerald and Woodrow (Sharon); and his grandchildren, Jason, Melanie, Jennifer, Jillian, Norm, Melody, Bob, Dwayne and Christopher.
