She was predeceased by: her parents, Avery Wood and Alma Wood (Whalen); her husband John Sampson of Florence; and her close friend Rachael Taylor. She is survived by: her children, James (Sally), Carolyn and Marlene MacKenzie (Bill); her grandchildren, Troy Sampson, Allison, Ryan (Kate), Christine and John MacKenzie; her great grandchildren, Cody Brown, Wyatt Sampson and Jackson MacKenzie; and her siblings-in-law, Alice Miles, Frank and Harold Sampson.
