He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bond and Ella Bond (Rogers) of Canso; his daughter Margaret; and his siblings, Margaret, Helen, Joan, Jean, Pauline, Carol, Lloyd, Nelson, Ellsworth and Douglas.
He is survived by: his wife Florence (Swaine); his children, Douglas Dartmouth (Imelda) of Canso, Donald (Julia) of Canso, Ronald (Colleen) of Canso and Helen David (Anthony) of Hazel Hill; his grandchildren, Natasha (Wes) of Eastern Passage, Tony (Courtney) of Canso, Marie of Dartmouth, Kyle (Mindy) of Tyendinaga, Ontario, Robyn (Wayne) of Canso and Gerald (Amy) of Truro; his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Matthew, Grayson, Jordan, Jasper, Bianca and Emberly; and his siblings, Gareth Ells (Danny) of Halifax, Shirley Joyce (Curtis) of Sackville, Joseph (Donna) of Shelburne and James of British Columbia.
