It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Garth Avard Leighton of Falmouth, Nova Scotia, born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 19, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Leighton and Hilda Leighton (Cavanagh); and his siblings, Keith and Donna Dort. He is survived by: his wife Betty Dale (Wellwood); his children, Keith (Sherri), Greg, Cheryl Walsh and Tina (Brian Lynch); his stepchildren, Jim Veino, Rob Veino (Kelly), Dieppe and Susan Hantsport (Jim Oickle); his grandchildren, Michaela Walsh, Elise Lynch, Lily Leighton, Robyn Oickle and Hayden Veino; and his brothers, Reigh (Betty), Blair (Mary Lou) and Central Onslow.
