It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Shirley Deyoung (Falmouth, Nova Scotia), who passed away on April 1, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gibson Smith and Bessie Smith (Moore); her husband Lawson DeYoung; her sisters, Ivy Newcombe, Leah Myers, Irene Eisan, Winnifred Soper, Eva Gates and Jessie Smith; and her son-in-law Dan.
She is survived by: her children, Michael (Pat), Eastern Passage, Sylvia Harrietha of Sydney Mines, Deborah Loughead (Jim) of East Jeddore and Edie DeYoung of Windsor; her grandchildren, Nichole, Michelle, Amy, Michael, Scott, Tina, Kevin, Shaun, David and Mark; and her siblings, Douglas Smith of Halifax, Gordon Smith of Bedford and Edna Chambers of Falmouth.
