He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Barnaby and Nora Barnaby; and his siblings, Shirley Smith, Betty Butler, Gordon, Lorne and Albert.

He is survived by: his close friend Lillian Hiltz; and his brothers, Walter and Harold Barnaby (Tim).
