With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorene Kathy (Thompson) Leary of Falmouth, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 3, 2025 at the age of 72. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Kitchen and Helen Kitchen (Thompson); her son Keith; her parents-in-law, Edward and Thelma Leary; and her sister-in-law Joyce Leary.
She is survived by: her husband Donald "Donnie"; her son Jamie (Kim); her granddaughters, Nicole (Zack) of Fredericton, NB and Rebecca Lasseter (Kyle); her siblings, Kathaleen Kitchen of Kingsclear, NB, Verna Eddington (John) of Upper Kingsclear, NB and Aulden Kitchen of Kingsclear, NB; her aunt Gwen Thompson; and her brother-in-law Garth Leary. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service (419 Albert St, Windsor, NS B0N2T0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel (419 Albert St, Windsor, NS B0N2T0).
