He was predeceased by: his children, Abigale and Gregory. He is survived by: his brother Clyde Hyslop; his wife Agnes; and his children, Patricia Page (William) of Kennetcook, Derrick (Sunny), Jeffrey, Annebelle Hyslop (Bill) and Fletchers Lake. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and one foster child.
