She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Layte and Daisy Layte; her husband Bill Shugarue; and her nephew Rodney Layte. She is survived by: her children, Jason (Olivia) and Victoria (Mitch); and her siblings, Roy (Barb), Jerry (Anita), Jean and Harold (Shari). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in honour of Elaine Shugarue in lieu of flowers to St-Thomas Anglican Church, Fall River, Nova Scotia or the Canadian Cancer Society.
