With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Valerie Helen Gilby of Elmsdale, Nova Scotia, born in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reginald Smith and Hazel Smith (Kennedy). She is survived by: her husband Peter; her sons, Matthew (Catherine) and Andrew (Julie); her grandchildren, Gage, Grace, Emma and Lucas; and her siblings, Steven, Cynthia, Tony, Randy and Vicki.
