He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey; his parents, Earle and Myrtle; and his siblings, Arthur and Alice.

He is survived by: his close friend Marg Blake; his children, Heather MacKeil (Michael), Tom Ellis (Heather), Sandra Langille (Chris) and Carol MacDougall (Bobby); his great grandchildren, Haleigh, Adaline, Kaden, Tobin and Callie; and his siblings, Muriel MacPhee, George Lorna Crawford (Jean), Gordon (Debbie) and David (Heather). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
