It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Bonsant of Elmsdale, Nova Scotia, born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, who passed away on February 22, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Adelard Bonsant and Christine Bonsant (Therrien); his brothers, Charles Bonsant and Jean Louis Dube; his son Craig; and his grandson Logan.

He is survived by: his wife Betty; his siblings, Louis Bonsant, Louisette Thibodeau and Charlotte Henderson; his grandchildren, Scott Leonard, Samantha Foote (Scott), Tessa Leonard (Andrew), Kyle McInnis, Chelsea Bonsant, Connor, Colton and Chiara Bonsant; and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Desmond Leonard, Grace, Bella Tilley, Zander and Jaxon Foote. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
