It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Cecilia Despres of Ellershouse, Nova Scotia, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 23, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Dupres and Selina Dupres (Chaisson); her former husband Leo Tufts; her husband John Banfield; and her siblings, Arthur and Lorraine Dupres.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Tufts (Laurinda), Gregory Tufts, Kenneth Tufts (Lauren) and Helen Tufts; and her siblings, Sandra (Harry) and Raymond. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
