He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Eddy and Hazel Eddy (Hilchey); and his sisters, Patsy, Sylvia and Carolyn.

He is survived by: his wife Marie; his son Blaine (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Shane and Shannon (Ryan); and his siblings, Shirley (Al) and Eric (Lois). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Not a man to be reckoned with but a man who could and would do anything for anyone. He had a heart of gold. Some of us called him "The Mayor" of Eastern Passage. Clearly Wayne was a man who loved his family first, the sea second, and last but not least, his beloved baseball. He will be missed by so many. Keep sending me the weather reports skipper.”
