He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin LaFitte and Joan LaFitte (Endicott); his brothers, Alex LaFitte and Ken Payne; and his brother-in-law Doug Anthony.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Allan LaFitte (Jen), Katie Lafitte (Darren) and Ryan LaFitte; his grandchildren, Gracelyn LaFitte and Amelia LaFitte; his siblings, Stella Anthony, Martina Forsyth, Gertie Cleary (Roy), Shirley LaFitte, Eugene LaFitte (Barb) and Danny LaFitte (Judy); and his brother-in-law Mort Kelly.
