It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helena Cecilia (DeYoung) Sullivan of Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 29, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband George; her son Michael (Carol); her granddaughter Patricia Keenan (Sullivan); her siblings, Viola DeYoung, Hattie Morrison, Edgar DeYoung, Norma LaVigne, Edwin DeYoung and Ross DeYoung; and her sister-in-law Barbara DeYoung.

She is survived by: her children, George of Montague, PEI, Karen (Glenn Bonnar) of Dartmouth, Peter (Barbara Macdonald) of Cow Bay, Mary (Roddy Perry) of Eastern Passage and Kelley (Scott Durnford) of Eastern Passage; her grandchildren, Erin Sullivan, Sarah Sullivan, Megan Veinot, Kate Russell, John Bonnar, Owen Bonnar, Anna Sullivan, Jack Sullivan, Melissa Dearman, Patrick Plaster, Keegan Durnford and Aidan Durnford; and her sisters-in-law, Florence DeYoung, Leona Sullivan, Mary Fitzpatrick and Joan Sullivan. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren.
