It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth Van Norden of Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 19, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Smith and Elizabeth Smith (Miller); her stepmother Mary Smith; and her sister Janette Cramb. She is survived by: her husband Edward Van Norden; her children, Wayne Power (Una), Bangkok, Thailand and Carolyn Marlow (Jim); her stepdaughters, Angela Collins Middle Sackville (Wayne) and Valerie Dunbar Westville (Hugh); her grandchildren, Kendra and Jonathan; and her siblings, Edwin Smith, Glasgow, Scotland, Colleen Stevenson England (Stewart), Sheila Smith and Sharon Smith Ottawa (Andrew). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in Elizabeth's honour may be made to the heart and stroke foundation of Nova Scotia.
