He is survived by: his close friend Margaret O'Brien (Filshie); his daughters, Leah and Jennifer; his sister Wendy Sanderson (John); his niece Stephanie Sanderson; and his nephew Ryan Sanderson. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
