He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Hines and Pearl Hines (Simpson); his wife Phyllis; and his siblings, Lorna, Iris, Nina, Joyce, Betty, Aubrey, Auley, Dorothea and Errold.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Hines (Opal), Carrolls Corner, Danny Hines (Doris) and Susan Higgins (Craig); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Austin, Sam, Whitney, Andrew, Hannah, Alexander, Nathan and Johnathan; his great grandchildren, Jack, Claire and Reese; and his sister Olga "Bess" Hines. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
