She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Turnbull and Ruby Turnbull; her husband Garnet Oliver; and her siblings, Lois, Robert, Ernest and Donald.

She is survived by: her children, Linda (Larry Lewis) of Digby Neck, Lois (Bill Pollock) of Wallaceburg, ON, David (Kim Comeau) of Digby, Randy of Digby, Michael (Darlene Melanson) of Digby, Glen (Patricia Murphy) of Digby and Douglas (Ginger Murphy) of Digby; and her siblings, Lorna Cummings and Lloyd Turnbull. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Rae may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Mountain Lea Lodge.
