He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Tingley and Silva Tingley (Bird); his wife Leora; and his siblings, Lester and Viola (Verna).

He is survived by: his sons, Timothy (Kimberley), Leonard (Monica) and Gary (Cheryl); his stepchildren, Geneva Taran (Wayne) and William "Billy" Hatfield (late Lorraine); and his siblings, Douglas (June), Pauline Brittain and Madeline Brown. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a great grandchild.
