James Herbert Barton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Herbert Barton (Digby, Nova Scotia), who passed away on September 8, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Seymour Barton and Annie Barton; his former wife Katherine Burrell; his wife Phyllis Barton; and his siblings, Helen Hill (Barton), George and Gerard Barton.

He is survived by: his children, James Burrell, Ina Cromwell, Cambridge, Bruce Burrell and Margaret O'Donnell (Tom); and his grandchildren, Justin Simms, Tara Currie-Timmons (Danny Timmons), Upper Clements, Courtney Currie, Brad Cromwell, Sherry Jefferson (Lloyd), Cambridge, Michael Cromwell, Mark Cromwell (Jarica Lynch), Selina Cromwell (Stanley Robicheau), Darcy Comeau, Spryfield, Traven Burrell, Nathan Ward, Marcella Spencer (Josh) and Hansport. He is also survived by great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to COVID restrictions there will be no reception following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
